The Bali Purnati Center for the Arts (Purnati) is a foundation that promotes exchange of cultures, collaboration and understanding; it especially is keen to promote the fusion of Asian arts with contemporary artistic treatment.

Purnati garden

The Purnati Artists Residency is set on beautiful Balinese landscaped garden and in a Lumbung (a traditional rice barn) inspired building.

Who can apply

Anyone, admission is by selection.

Purnati Bali Spirit 2

Application deadline:

1st August 2016 for Fall 2016 (September till November 2016) season and 1st December 2016 for Spring (April till June 2017) 2017 season.

Residency length:

One month, Purnati does not guarantee availability on preferred month hence please state two preferences.

Residency expectations:

Purnati Bali Spirit 3

A free public performance or exhibition is usually organized with Purnati at the end of the residency. However, artists are free to opt not to showcase works and use the residency as a retreat.

There is possibility of showcasing work at the end of residency as well as representation on BigCi’s website and social media.

Residency fees:

A fee of USD 38 per day.

What the fees cover:

The fee is inclusive of full room and board, and use of studio space.

Travel to and from Bali/residency

Additional info:

The Bali Purnati Center for the Arts organizes a range of cultural and arts events including film screenings, dance and musical performances, the Bali Arts Festivals and even yoga retreats.
